Well, I got so much feed back from the shirt I made that I thought I should post about it. I don't really know what to write, but here it goes. It wasn't a patern. I have been watching "I have nothing to wear" on TLC and it is such a cool show. They have these design students take a bunch of old clothes that you don't wear anymore or don't fit you and they recreate them into new outfits. I haven't gotten any fabric to make the curtains I've been wanting to cause I found out that kind of fabric is kind of pricy. So, I decided to kind of practice with my new sewing machine. I just kind of messed around with it and I think I might mess around more with other clothes I don't wear. This could be a pretty fun, productive thing. If I don't buy new clothes in the mean time. I'm so glad I got a sewing machine because I kind of think that as a mom and wife it'll really come in handy. When did I become so domesticated? The good thing is that I do think all this stuff like cooking and sewing and decorating is a lot of fun. It's a lot more challenging to me than actual jobs that I've had in the past. I guess I like being creative and pushing myself rather than having someone else telling me what to do. It's so funny, because I think that moms that go to work totally don't get how challenging and hard it can be to stay at home. It really is like a job. Only it's way more rewarding. Well, anyway, I'll have to post other creative things I do on here in the future.

That is so impressive that you just made up that shirt by yourself, and it fits so well! I saw half of an ad for that show, and it looks cool; I should watch it sometime. I would like to learn how to sew......there are a lot of things I would like to learn. Pretty much all the sewing I've done since being married is sewing back on buttons and also mending all the pockets Jeremy has gotten holes in. I feel pretty intimidated about sewing in general because I don't know what I'm doing! I do like cross stiching though. Funny thing about that, I still haven't finished the pattern you gave me to do back from when I was 12 or 13!!!!!! How sad is that. I got the most done at the beginning when I started, and then I bring it out every couple of years or so and do a tiny bit. LOL.
I'm glad you're enjoying being a stay at home mom! I can't think of a better blessing than to get to stay home with the chillins and take care of your family. :) I'm sure you're great at it!
I agree that being a stay at home mum is hard at some times, harder then some out of the home jobs. It is the most important job in relation to family. I've never heard of "I have nothing to wear". Is it still on?
