Okay, so here are a bunch of pics from our Seattle trip. Actually, we were on Whidbey Island in Washington. It was so cool! The first picture from the bottom is the house we stayed in. It wasn't as nice as the other one, but we spent most of our time at the other one anyway. Alex was really good on the trip even though he was stressed and worn out most of the time. You walk out of the house onto the beach. It was awesome. It had rocks all along the whole beach and a lot of drift wood too. We went on a fairy(don't know if that's the right spelling) one day to another island that was close and did some shopping and eating. It was way cool. We took some rocks home with us to display from our trip. It was one of the prettiest places I've been. Wouldn't mind living there, except it's a little cold. Well, anyway, I've got to go try out our new bed that is uber comfy. Adios!

So, we're out in Dodge city right now and there haven't been very many new posts for me to read from people. So, I thought I'd do one. It's kind of boring out here sometimes. Well, Nathan's making a bunch of extra money since he's working all these extra weeks out here. I thought I'd tell you what the plans are for it. We're planning, of course, our honeymoon we never had/anniversary trip. We're going to Florida in August and it's going to be awesome. We're planning on getting me a dishwasher, finally. A new bed. Fabric for curtains. Oh, and we're going to be painting Alex's room. And, of course, the sewer line. Well, I'm pretty excited about it. I think I've decided, after very long consideration, to find some dark brown fabric for the curtains and get like a shear fabric for the inside. We'll get one of those double curtain rods so that we can have both on there. And then, we can finally get rid of the aweful blinds in the livingroom and dining room. They're so dusty and dirty and just won't come clean. We're planning on getting a wrought iron bed and nice new queen mattress set. I think it'll be nice because we have a few different colors of wood in our bedroom and I think it would be hard to decide on what color of wood to choose. Oh, I'd also like some input on color for our livingroom, diningroom, and hallway. I'm thinking either orange or green. Nathan really likes green. I had been thinking tan, but our couches are tan and I don't want them to blend in with the walls. Also, I think that our house needs a little more color because we have a lot of neutrals, but I don't want a dark color. That's why I thought an orange, but Nathan doesn't know about that one. I think he's worried it would be to bright or something. We'd definitely have to choose the right color of orange. But, then you can't really go wrong with green. Anyway, I need to get to bed. Adios.

Well, I got so much feed back from the shirt I made that I thought I should post about it. I don't really know what to write, but here it goes. It wasn't a patern. I have been watching "I have nothing to wear" on TLC and it is such a cool show. They have these design students take a bunch of old clothes that you don't wear anymore or don't fit you and they recreate them into new outfits. I haven't gotten any fabric to make the curtains I've been wanting to cause I found out that kind of fabric is kind of pricy. So, I decided to kind of practice with my new sewing machine. I just kind of messed around with it and I think I might mess around more with other clothes I don't wear. This could be a pretty fun, productive thing. If I don't buy new clothes in the mean time. I'm so glad I got a sewing machine because I kind of think that as a mom and wife it'll really come in handy. When did I become so domesticated? The good thing is that I do think all this stuff like cooking and sewing and decorating is a lot of fun. It's a lot more challenging to me than actual jobs that I've had in the past. I guess I like being creative and pushing myself rather than having someone else telling me what to do. It's so funny, because I think that moms that go to work totally don't get how challenging and hard it can be to stay at home. It really is like a job. Only it's way more rewarding. Well, anyway, I'll have to post other creative things I do on here in the future.

Okay, so I had a little trouble this post. It wouldn't let me delete the sideways pics of my shirt, for one. Two, our hot water heater was out today so you get an up pic of my hair. But anyway, let me tell you about the shirt. Anyone remember an old skirt of mine made out of this fabric. Well, I've been wanting to try out my new sewing machine and I highly doubted I'd ever wear the skirt again. So, I made this shirt. It took a lot longer than it probably should have, but I was just figuring out how everything worked again. It was fun. I think it turned out really cute too. And, hey, I can wear a bra with it. Isn't that awesome! I have so many tank tops wear it either shows or I have to wear a strapless one. So, this is nice. Anyway, everybody has to tell me what they think of my hair color. Oh, and Jillian, I colored it when I got home. So, it doesn't look green anymore.
